ABOUT

WHAT IS TOURISM FOUNDRY?

Tourism Foundry was created by Tom Urban in 2017 to help forge a stronger tourism industry.

After more than a decade in the tourism industry, Tom has seen many wonderful destinations and businesses enjoy great success. Unfortunately, he has also seen many worthwhile destinations and businesses fail. In almost every case, that failure could be attributed to a lack of planning and strategy. Tom created Tourism Foundry, a tourism consulting businesses, as a way to put his experience and that of our other consultants to work. The term 'foundry' was chosen because of its meaning as a workshop where metal is cast - in the same way, Tourism Foundry has been created to help forge a stronger tourism industry.

The ultimate goal of Tourism Foundry is to provide destinations and businesses with the tools and strategies they need to thrive in a complex and sometimes challenging industry.

His experience in the field of events is second to none, with a Business Degree in Convention and Event Management, and a Masters Degree in Tourism from Monash University. DEBBIE HATUMALE-UY
Debbie lives and breathes social media - it's almost unhealthy! With a career which has so far seen her fill the roles of Online Community Manager for McDonald's Australia, the Digital Communications Specialist for Canon Australia and the Social Media Manager at McCann Worldwide Group, she's always on the lookout to champion online communities and leverage social media to drive business objectives. Of course it's not just work for Debbie. Outside of office hours she's a food, travel and lifestyle blogger for ThisMessCalledLife.com, a blog she founded in 2016. And when she's not snapping a selfie or pondering how to bring a CPC (cost per click) lower, you can look for Debbie tearing it up on the dancefloor as an ex professional choreographer.
In addition to our above consultants, Tourism Foundry has a close working relationship with a number of other businesses including Rees International, Dog Whistle Creative and Good Company Group. They are available to provide additional consultation on your project as required.
